Stay with us and experience a farming lifestyle. We offer supported holidays and student placements at Moss Peteral.

Would you like to?

* be a shepherd and work with sheepdogs
* move and stack firewood,
* repair fences and stone walls
* wear wellies and be outdoors
* enjoy home cooked meals at the kitchen table

Yes? - then a 'holiday' or supported placement might be what you're looking for!

If you don't need any support and are willing to help out in return for your food and accommodation check out WWOOFing opportunities on the farm.

Moss Peteral is in a beautiful, but exposed, position. You'll need to be able to cope with the physical challenges of uneven ground, wind and rain. However we have a selection of warm clothes, waterproofs and wellies to keep everyone comfortable outdoors in all weathers. We hope our visitors enjoy participating in farm chores according to their abilities and interests.

You'll have your own room in our comfortable farmhouse and live as member of our family rather than a guest. We have two rooms available and have no more than two Care Farming visitors at once.

Holiday visits may be for a weekend or a couple of weeks. We are happy to include visits to nearby attractions and activities in a holiday placement (mileage, entry and other expenses to be covered).
Student placements could be for several weeks or even months. Extended placements enable you to experience the changing seasonal cycle of farm activities and the time to really develop confidence and skills.

We welcome visits prior to placements to discuss details and to ensure that we can meet your needs.

Visits to Moss Peteral may be arranged and funded by Northumberland's Shared Lives Scheme or agreed directly with Sue and Alan.
